At The Hypnosis Institute, we use Therapeutic Hypnosis to encourage the mind to see your goal differently. This allows you to begin to change behaviors and attitudes that lead to your desired results. For example, the mind is taught to see certain foods as unappealing or cigarettes as harmful. You start to think of saving money as more rewarding than spending it. You begin to forget past failures and focus on the opportunities presented to you. Hypnosis allows the reinforcement of these positive behaviors and attitudes.
Therapeutic Hypnosis is only as effective as the client's determination. Someone who is thinking about quitting smoking will not be as successful as the person who is committed to quit. To use a different analogy, when you go shopping with a list you know exactly what you want and purchase the items you intended. However, when you go to the store with a vague idea of what you wanted, your shopping trip takes much longer to complete. The mind is the same way. Therapeutic Hypnosis helps you focus on the goal at hand.
The most often-asked questions about Therapeutic Hypnosis result from stereotypical portrayals of hypnosis in movies and Las Vegas-type magic shows. The reality of our practice is much less “theatrical.” Hypnosis is an excellent tool for reinforcing a goal, behavior or attitude that you want to happen. It will not work to make you do something you do not want to do. Simply put, we can’t make you “cluck like a chicken” when you wake up from a hypnotic session … unless that was your goal to begin with. But what hypnosis can do is work as an excellent tool for reinforcing a goal, behavior, or attitude that you want to happen.
What Therapeutic Hypnosis CAN do is help you stop habits that are harmful to your health and happiness, improve concentration, increase self-esteem or just get a good night’s sleep. And if you have a goal or problem that has not been discussed here, talk with us. We can help you define the issue and create a plan for using hypnosis to resolve it.
HOW WE CAN HELP
Because each person is unique, the timeframe to achieve true transformation also varies.
A belief that a single session will provide permanent results is not realistic.
However, Therapeutic Hypnosis is a proven tool to aid people in transforming their lives.
You've made the decision, it's time to stop smoking. Now the reality of how hard it is to stop has you frustrated and ready to give up. Don't give up, you can do this. Many people have, so can you. Let me help, just give me a call.
Fears & Phobias
Are you ruled and restricted by the things that make you afraid? Stop missing out: get on the plane, ignore spiders and snakes, speak in public, ride the roller coaster. Live your life!
Forget about "losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks". Changing your habits is the best way to achieve true weight loss and transformation. Your attitudes toward food and your body are the cornerstone of making permanent weight loss a reality in your life. Trade in those extra pounds for extra time with a healthier lifestyle that allows you to do all the things you've always wanted to do.
Are you worried about work? About home? About school? About relationships? That worry becomes stress when it goes unchecked for long periods of time. That stress becomes a habit that people don't even recognize. Would you carry a 200lb bag of stones EVERYWHERE all day long? Probably not. Stress is the stones in the bag. Let's lighten the bag by naming those stones and casting them away, then get on with the joy of living.
Are you exhausted at the end of every day? Do you wake up feeling like you didn't sleep a wink? Being tired all the time is physically and emotionally draining. Stop tossing and turning all night and yawning all day. Imagine instead starting each day rested and refreshed. Be productive at work and actively engaged with family and friends. A good nights sleep is where it all starts.
You are the only you on this planet, God's very special creation. Find the joy in your improved self esteem. Build relationships with confidence, advance your career as far as you can dream, and smile at the friend in the mirror. Become the best you it is possible to be.
